Grenada has experienced success in exports of tertiary education and its success has been noted in a recent World Bank report. The demographics and other indicators indicate that the demand for trained persons is increasing, and therefore Grenada is well positioned to benefit from the increased world demand for educational services.
This country also stands to benefit from the opportunities being created with the demand for trained nurses and teachers form the region if the exporter of education services expands its product offer to include these disciplines.
Suffice to say that the service sector is in its embryonic stage of development. The Services Sectors and sub-sectors that are addressed in the National Services Export Strategy are:
- Construction Services;
- Business and Professional Services
- Culture, Entertainment and Sporting Services; and
- Education Services.
